WIDI WINDOWS 10 DRIVERS
There are lots of people on various forums all very upset with INTEL for not updating the WIDI drivers for gen 1 to 3, I3 to I7 processors. Well If they don’t fix this driver I will never purchase another Intel graphics solution again. They just want us to all replace our 3 to 4 year old laptops and buy new ones…. We all bought into the INTEL Inside logo and company believing that they would support their products but now they are refusing to write a driver for windows 10… no hardware has changed i.e., same processor with integrated graphics, and same display). Many of our laptop’s are less than 4 years old and even though Intel said they would support their processors for at least 5 years we are left out in the cold. If we just let the automatic upgrade go forward we lose the capability to use WIDI to project our laptop screen images to our large display projectors. This leaves us unable to upgrade any of our laptops to windows 10. Intel is refusing to update the WIDI drivers for any of their 1 st or 2 nd generation I3 to I7 processors. During pre-release testing of Dell Client and Consumer line systems (Precision and Inspiron Desktops, Inspiron, XPS, Vostro, and Latitude Notebooks and Tablets) users encountered various problems when trying to use Intel WIDI with the Windows 10 operating system.
